Students also become comfortable with computer and technical skills for proper scanning, uploading and preparing artwork, as well as video conferencing and creating files. Students are introduced to pen and ink, and to professional and business practices. Fee covers all assignments, tutorials, handouts, video conferencing and emailing. Beginning and intermediate students are encouraged to apply.

Session IV-Internships, Independent Studies

 January-December, on-going. Flexible meeting times

Internship or independent study. Students in this Session have completed Sessions I-III. The Program helps students with these studies and acts as a mentor and sounding board. Students learn to write contracts and work in real life settings. At the end of their internship or independent study, students are rewarded a certificate of completion.

Digital Drawing Using Procreate®

Spring, 2025 1:00pm ET

Sketch on an iPad and learn how to turn your observational drawings into sophisticated digital renderings through the powerful and versatile software program Procreate®. Drawing with a stylus, students will engage in a series of class exercises. Gradually, they will build forms of greater complexity.  Students will learn techniques permitting them to work in multiple layers simultaneously, and to work backward as well as forward. They will manipulate color and design personalized brushes for every need. No experience with Procreate is required, though students must have completed Session I, or possess basic observational drawing skills. About the instructor and equipment requirements.
